Here are a few things about Seminole Lacrosse Inc. (SLI)  & Seminole Select Travel (SST) that you may not know
SLI was founded in 1987 and we are now entering our 30th year
Annually SLI gives out over $7,000 in Scholarships
YTD 2014 SLI has had over 950 players participate in our programs from 4 years old to 17 years old
YTD 2014 SST has been made up for the following High School Districts:
              WAHS 21.6%, AHS 19.2%, MHS 13.6%, FCHS 12.8%, CHS 8.2%, STAB 7.2%,
              Covenant 7.2%, out of town 6.4% (Farmville, Lynchburg, Lexington)
              other private schools (Tandem, Woodberry, Blue Ridge) 4.0%
SLI Advisory Board is made up of 3 National Lacrosse Hall of Famers and 7 Regional Lacrosse Hall of Famers - Congrats to Julie Myers on her 2015 Induction to the Virginia Lacrosse Hall of Fame
SLI Board has over 250 combined years of playing experience, 135 combined years of coaching experience, & 50 years of officiating experience
SLI is a 501 c(3) Non Profit organization which means you are able to deduct 50% of the monies paid to SLI on your tax returns (please consult your CPA or tax professional for more details)

2018 Men's Officials Training

Charlottesville Chapter of US Lacrosse Presents the 2018 Annual Level 1 Men’s Officials Training Clinic


Sunday, January 28th   From 12:00PM – 3:30PM

 Gym @ Tandem Friends School

279 Tandem Lane Charlottesville, VA 22902

(across from Monticello HS)


Anyone interested in becoming a Youth/Men’s US Lacrosse Certified Official needs to attend this clinic (there will be only 1 clinic held in Charlottesville this year).


·        Please email Michael Cross ASAP to reserve a spot  and receive info on how to access the On-line Training Kit and NFHS Boys Lacrosse Rule Book




Certification Process:

·        Attend the Annual Clinic on Jan. 28th

·        Become a member of US Lacrosse (add “Official” as a membership category),  All dues must be current.

·        Study the material in the “2018 USL Men’s Game 2 & 3 Man Mechanics Manuals” and the 2018 NFHS Rule Book (US Lacrosse will mail you a rule book)

·        Take the US Lacrosse “Boy’s Rules & Penalty Online Course”

·        Take the On-line 2018 US Lacrosse NFHS Boys Lacrosse Rules Test (minimum passing grade is an 80)

·        Officiate preseason Seminole Lacrosse League or other preseason games for On-field Evaluation and Rating


Current Level 1 or 2 Certified Officials are not required to attend this clinic, but are welcome.  All certified officials will be required to pass the 2018 US Lacrosse NFHS Boys Lacrosse Rules Test this spring.

Fee $175.00 + $30.00 for US Lacrosse Membership​


Practice Begins week of February 20, 2018

Games Begin March 18, 2018
No Games 04/1/18 or 04/08/18

Playoffs May 13,2018 
Finals May 20, 2018

All Games are held at Albemarle High School 



Teams are assigned by division 3/4 Grade (2nd graders who have completed Seminole K-2 or Summer program may participate in 3/4 Division) , 5/6 grade, & 7/8 Grade and are associated with the High School a player would attend.


The League is designed to be a feeder program for the local High School Teams.  We work closely with the local High School teams and coaches to provide continuity with their programs.

Teams may be combined due to coaching needs or player needs
